Spring is almost here and I couldn't wait to share my new treats with you. Here is one example of how you can transform a pretzel rod into a fun treat for everyone. These can be put on display in. decorative mug or container. Or feel free to wrap them separately for goodie bags.
Items Needed:
1) PEEPS (2 -3 colors)
2) pretzel rods
3) melting chocolate (2 -3 colors)
4) mug
5) sprinkles
melt the chocolate melts in the microwave until it reaches a smooth consistency. scoop the melted chocolate on a large spoon and pour it over 3/4 of the rod. Smooth the chocolate using the back of the spoon, letting the excess drip back into the microwave safe bowl. This helps to make it smooth and get out any lumps.
before it dries, add sprinkles around the pretzel rod. Take a peep and cut a small hole in the bottom. Take the peep and place it on top of the pretzel rod carefully while the chocolate is still gooey.
please on parchment paper to dry. you can leave it out or place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes approximately.
