Cinco de Mayo - Royal Icing Sugar Cookies 🌵

Is it May yet?

I love creating new and exciting desserts for customers and my own family. Here are some whimsical cookies I made for the upcoming holiday, Cinco de Mayo. Its a time to celebrate, so why not make something colorful & festive, which also tastes delicious.

I used a basic sugar cookies recipe and whipped up some royal icing. I used zip lock bags, and cut a small hole for the citing to drip ut. I used a toothpick to get any holes I missed, and also to create texture on my cactus. I also used edible marker for the background stripes. Make sure to wait for the icing to dry before coloring the background, my simply putting it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

I can't wait for my kids to see these when they come home from school. If you need custom cookies for your next party or sports team, please contact me. They come as a package of individually wrapped.
